For using CheckMyTour, registration is required. During this process, a user name, your email address and a password are gathered. To prevent spam and security issues, registration requires an email address confirmed by the user. To block crawlers, a captcha needs to be solved in the course of the registration process.

Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare
You may also register at CheckMyTour by means of the account data of other social networks (Facebook, Twitter). This will take approximately 30 seconds and CheckMyTour will reuse these accounts.
Any of these services can be accessed and used directly from the CheckMyTour portal. For that, you need to connect your account on the external service with the CheckMyTour account. Once this has been confirmed, you may even post to Facebook and create Twitter tweeds from CheckMyTour. Furthermore, the checkin to Foursquare can be invoked directly from the CheckMyTour app.
Important: All these services are fully optional, you may as ell use CheckMyTour without these.
Both, the smartphone app as well as the portal of CheckMyTour are completely free (as in free beer). Hence, no payment information is requested during the registration process. In the future, too, there will always be a base version of CheckMyTour completely free of charge.
Regardless of whether the registration is via the portal or the smartphone, it will be applicable for all CheckMyTour sevices.
